Infection Control in the Dental Office

Show you care about your safety and those of your patients by upholding high standards of infection control in your dental office
Infection Control in the dental office has been a recent hot topic. At East Berlin Smiles, we have always made it a standard to uphold the guidelines for infection control by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Before you enter the examining room, all surfaces, such as the dental chair, dental light, drawer handles and countertops have been cleaned and decontaminated. As often as possible, we will use disposable items that are discarded after each patient. Non-disposable items like the dental tools or handpieces are cleaned and sterilized between patients.

We would like to show you a behind the scenes view of our sterilization room utilizing state of the art technology. We care about each of our patients’ health and safety! Stop by our office for a complementary office tour or on your next scheduled dental appointment simply ask for a tour of our updated sterilization room.

  1. I have a friend who is a dental assistant and she loves it. I have been trying to find to find a dental assistant area for my daughter. She wants to become a dental assistant. http://www.newmexicodentalassisting.com/Why-Choose-NMIDA/

  3. This is good information! I keep telling my dentist that preaching about Dental
    Hygiene Sunnyvale
    isn't enough.

  4. Making sure that things are sanitary is a big deal. It's so silly how much contamination still happens. Luckily most places are good about it.

  5. I can completely understand how much of a germiphobe anyone would become after working in any medical field. I took a pathology class in college and it changed everything for me. You have to be very careful not to wind up another victim of some obscure disease. I enjoyed my bliss in the meantime, but now I can't help but think about it all the time. Otherwise, being a dental assistant is an excellent job.

  6. Amber, thanks for the post. Your cleansing center looks very nice. We just redid ours last year and it's great.
